Track of Study: Professional Development for Principals and Hebrew and Judaic Studies Coordinators

The challenges facing the principals and coordinators of Hebrew and Judaic Studies is to lead the educational team in achieving the goals of strengthening the Hebrew language and connecting to Jewish life in the Diaspora, all in accordance with the school mission. The iTaLAM Professional Development Track for Administrators and Hebrew and Judaic Studies Coordinators is intended to help shape the perception of the principals’ managerial-leadership role, while providing tools and skills for managing and leading the teaching staff and developing them.

What is the cost of the course?

Number of Meetings: Two meetings in the summer and four meetings during the school year

Training Topics:

Meeting 1: Concluding a year with iTaLAM (June): Transferring data and relevant information from year to year. Identifying students who need support. Identifying teachers who need reinforcement and professional support.

 

 

Meeting 2: Opening of the 2011-2002 school year with iTaLAM:

 Two workshops to choose from:

 (A) Innovations in iTaLAM

 (B) Conducting staff meetings and supporting new teachers

 (C) Annual planning of the Hebrew and Jewish Heritage curriculum

 

Additional meeting topics will be published later.

 

After each meeting, recordings and presentations from the meeting will be shared with the participants.
