Course Description

About the Innovation Lab:

The Corona crisis has affected the educational field significantly. There are processes of change and innovation, but at the same time there is also ongoing burnout and fatigue especially among teachers and principals who have been required to find solutions to changing realities and ongoing uncertainty. Crisis reality has spawned forces of leadership, creativity and a desire to influence. iTaLAM, with the help of the Pincus Foundation, is establishing a professional learning community that aims to be a platform for joint discussion, mutual support and encouragement to find tailored and innovative solutions for the Jewish communities around the world. Thinking, planning and implementing these solutions.

For whom is this course intended?

This course is geared toward Jewish educators with experience in teaching iTaLAM, teachers with initiative and creativity finding solutions. Participation in the innovation lab involves a screening process and meeting conditions as well as approval from the school principal. Participants who meet the commitments will be eligible for a participation scholarship and a grant for an initiative they lead. Participants will be required to participate in 80% of the group meetings and the individual training sessions, as well as submitting an initiative according to milestones that will be published in the group.

When?

The screening process will begin on May 1st. The lab will run for two years, from July 2022 through May 2024.

In the first year, the group will identify, learn, participate and realize the special challenges in Jewish education in the Diaspora. In the second year, the group will initiate and develop original products to deal with the challenges they choose to explore.

In addition to the group sessions, lab participants will receive 9 team coaching sessions to advance the initiative.

The dates for the coaching sessions will be announced later. Below are the dates of the group meetings.
