If you are an experienced iTaLAM teacher and you have previously attended a number of iTaLAM trainings, you are invited to choose one of two iTaLAM training courses designed for experienced iTaLAM teachers: iTaLAM in-depth or Differentiating and Adapting iTaLAM for student needs.
NEW Course! iTaLAM in-depth
The iTaLAM in-depth course is intended to give an in-depth look at teaching Jewish heritage and Hebrew as a new language with the iTaLAM curriculum. The course will discuss and deepen various strategies for developing and encouraging language skills (grammar, vocabulary and language patterns), oral expression, written expression, reading and reading comprehension and the different ways to apply them in the classroom. The course will be accompanied by lectures, demonstrations, workshops and peer learning. In the course, we will create a community of teachers who learn, research and lead, from empowering peer dialogue on Hebrew and heritage teaching. The goal is to create a strong and stable connection for students to the heritage of the Jewish people.
For whom is this course intended?
This course is intended for experienced iTaLAM teachers who have mastered the material of the curriculum year they are teaching and have taught iTaLAM for at least two years. The course will be attended by teachers who teach in all the different iTaLAM curriculum levels. Examples and content from all of the levels will be used for demonstration and discussion, but the course will not deal with the teaching of the content at the various grade levels.
Number of Meetings: 12 Meetings: Four meetings during the summer vacation and eight meetings during the school year.

Differentiated and Adaptive iTaLAM
Do you want to learn how to adapt the iTaLAM program for students with difficulties in learning a second language and for the students with learning differences?
Join us for an online course that will teach you principles for tailoring the program to your classroom. In the course you will get to know the characteristics of a population with learning differences, what a learning style is, and the teaching and learning can be adapted and differentiated with the help of iTaLAM. You will also learn how to write and practice writing lesson plans tailored to the different needs of your students.
For whom is this course intended?
This course is intended for experienced iTaLAM teachers who have mastered the material of the curriculum year they are teaching. Teachers who teach in regular education, who teach in regular classrooms where students have difficulty or are diagnosed with learning disabilities as part of an integration program. The course is not intended for special education teachers.
Number of Meetings: 14 Meetings: Six meetings during the summer vacation and eight meetings during the school year.
