Teacher Training 2025 - 2026 School Year

We are delighted to invite you to join the iTaLAM teachers community and participate in training that is personalized to your needs. Our training programs were built to help you teach Hebrew and Jewish Studies with fun and satisfaction, and with immediate results. We also offer a way to connect with other teachers, share your ideas, and expand your knowledge. Choose the track that is best for you, and join this scholarly group of teachers.

Track 1: The Hybrid Track

Local summer training + online sessions throughout the year

Who is this track for?

New and veteran teachers, who are interested in an integration of theoretical and practical learning.

What does this track include?

Two days of frontal local summer training: Getting to know the new educational content, practical experience, group discussion, and peer review.
4 Annual Online Meetings: Expanding practical and theoretical knowledge.
Personal training sessions: Pedagogical counselling throughout the school year.

When?

Part 1

During the Summer:
2 face to face training in a location close to you:

*9 am – 4 pm (Sleeping accommodations are not included. Lunch, snacks and drinks will be provided.)

Part 2

Throughout the school Year:

For new teachers:
4 additional online sessions throughout the school year.
3 Personal training sessions – to be arranged with the course instructor

For veteran teachers:
Participate in 2 online seminars throughout the school year (November and February).
**You will have the option to register for each seminar day separately. More details, including dates and registration information, will be shared soon.

Track 2: The Online Track

Online Training for New Teachers

Who is this track for?

New teachers
Teachers teaching a grade for the first time
Shlichim
Teachers who previously participated in teacher training and want to get to know the innovations in the program
Teachers who have never participated in iTaLAM training

What does this track include?

4 Zoom summer sessions:
Introduction to the principles of the method, program structure, how to teach Hebrew in Hebrew, how to construct a class and tailor it to the levels of various students.

Summer sessions: 28-31 July, 2025 / 3-9 Av

4 Zoom sessions throughout the school year:
Group sessions will offer preparation for the coming season, address classroom progress and challenges, and offer instruction on classroom communication: reading, writing, and oral presentation.

3 annual personal training sessions:
offered by a pedagogical advisor.

* A ‘Google Classroom’ class accompanies teachers with recorded materials and presentations.

** A Whatsapp group for sharing updates and questions.
