Special Lesson Plan
This year, the Israel Day of Remembrance is particularly complex given the current war and the many who have recently fallen. This is a difficult day for the Jewish people, both in Israel and the Diaspora.
iTaLAM is honored to offer a special lesson plan aimed at fostering reflection and resilience, while honoring the memory of our fallen heroes.
Lieutenant Yoav Malayev z”l fell on October 7 in a battle against terrorists in Yiftah Camp near Gaza. Yoav was the eldest grandson of our dear friend and colleague Miriam Cohen, one of the founders of the iTaLAM program.
We dedicate this lesson plan to his memory.
The lesson is recommended for Grades 3-6.
The lesson structure is modular, and can be adapted to your students’ needs.
