Due to the advent of Covid-19 we are forced to cancel the face to face iTaLAM Summer Training Institutes. The teacher 2020 – 2021 training courses are being revamped and adapted to the remote learning environment to which we have all become accustomed. Join the iTaLAM 2020 – 2021 Training Institute to learn everything you will need to know to teach Hebrew and Jewish Heritage in the class or remotely. 2020 – 2021 iTaLAM Training will consist of a choice of online, interactive, experiential courses.
How is it taught?
The 2020 – 2021 Training Courses include 6 online meetings (synchronous) with a meeting times in July or in August. There will be 8 more online meetings which will take place approximately every 4 week from September through May. The sessions will be taught as experiential, interactive workshops. In addition, there with be asynchronous work to be completed in between the online sessions.

Annual iTaLAM Curriculum Courses
Parallel courses for each grade level
Learn how to teach the various iTaLAM content material in the classroom and at the same time learn how to deal with remote learning in emergencies by adapting the content to synchronous and asynchronous lessons.

Adapting iTaLAM for Students with Special Needs
Learn how to adapt the iTaLAM program for students who have difficulty learning Hebrew as a second language and students with learning differences.
iTaLAM Torah
Two online sessions with a focus on the methodology for teaching Torah with iTaLAM.
Administrator and Coordinator Course
Administrators and Hebrew Coordinators learn how to best implement iTaLAM, guide and assist their teachers to achieve maximum results teaching the students the Hebrew language and connecting them with their Jewish Heritage.

iTaL AM 1, 2 , 3, 4 and 5 Training Institutes in parallel tracks are offered in different locations twice during the year: The Summer iTaLAM Institute – Part I of the Training Institute presents theory and methodology underlying the iTaLAM program, and introduces the units studied during the first half of the school year. The Mid-year or Winter iTaLAM Institute – Part II of the Training Institute is devoted to the units studied during the second half of the school year, while continuing to expand on the pedagogical approach of iTaLAM.
